Cleaning Cast Iron Tea Kettle
You can avoid a rusty cast-iron.
Cleaning cast iron tea kettle. Use a dish soap for cleaning inside of your cast iron teapot but do not use a strong detergent. Heat water in a saucepan by putting it on the stove. Rinse and gently clean pot cover and infuse thoroughly with warm water only.
If it is possible take the steamer or kettle apart as much as you can to ensure complete coating of the oil. I only have a cast iron pan but when it is too grungy I once had a friend run it through the dishwasher and then not dry it so it was full of rust I scrub it with some steel wool water and soap. If needed use a pan scraper for stuck on food.

To prepare your cast iron kettle start by scrubbing it with hot soapy water rinse it well ensuring there is no soap residue left behind and dry it completely.
You can also make use of an electric kettle if you have one. This is a very basic point but by rinsing the kettle every day. Avoid contact with salt and oils.
